UN Issues Warning

The UN recently released a report warning that we are off course for the Paris Agreement goal of a 1.5°C limit to global warming. This is the first time that the potential of not meeting our long standing global warming goals has been put in writing. Instead it’s suggested that if we continue on this current path of emissions, we might reach a 2.5 - 3°C rise. This would be catastrophic for ecosystems, communities, and economies.

The UN Climate Change Conference COP29 is being held next week in Baku, Azerbaijan. The world’s leaders, scientists, and advocates will come together to drive crucial conversations about climate action. This is a pivotal opportunity to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy and meet climate goals while there is still time.
